In 2022, she brought the iconic Billie Holiday to life in the off-Broadway production of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, earning widespread acclaim. Laniece also starred as Donnie, the charismatic wedding singer, in the off-Broadway play Tony and Tina's Wedding, and portrayed Lynn in The American Trailer Park Christmas Musical, produced by Long Bay Theatre. In 2024, she added another standout role to her repertoire as Sylvia in All Shook Up.
